 —News of the sad death of Luna Vachon ( Profile & Photos) has been making its way accross the internet, including a headline on TMZ.com and trending worldwide on Twitter. WWE.com released the following statement…
“World Wrestling Entertainment has been made aware of the passing of Gertrude (Luna) Vachon. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Vachon family.
Ms. Vachon was under contract with WWE at various times from 1993 through 2000, and performed under the name “Luna” Vachon. She last performed for WWE in early 2000.”
Luna’s Ex-husband Gangrel (David Heath) posted the following on Twitter…

In very sad news, according to the Wrestling Observer, Luna Vachon has passed…
Luna Vachon dead
Luna Vachon, 48, the daughter of Butcher and niece of Mad Dog Vachon and a well-known wrestler in her own right, was found dead this morning at her mother’s home. She was staying with her mother after her own house was burned down in a fire just recently. Those are the only details we have at the moment but we will update later this afternoon.
