Akon holds the #1 position with "I Wanna Love You"

Akon holds on to the number 1 position on this week's Hot 100 charts with "I wanna love you," Issue Date: 2006-12-09, despite Beyonce's Irreplaceable closing the gap. This was due to Akon holding on to the number 1 position on Billboard's Hot digital songs chart...
"I Wanna Love you," sold 109,660 downloads, bring its total sales to 255,676 downloads. The song remains number 1 on Rhythmic radioplay followed by "Smack still at number 2. The song continues to grow on Pop and Urban radio stations, currently in the Urban Top 10, and making a huge jump into the Top 20 on pop radio within the week.
Akon's "Smack That," fell to number 3 on the Hot 100 this week and is still number 3 on the Hot digital songs chart selling 98,403 and bringing its download total to 810,514. The song is now a Top 5 in pop radioplay.
Akon's Konvicted LP sold 163,709 copies in its second week and falls to number 8 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart, bringing its total to 448,173.
