Akon goes #1 with "I Wanna Love You," Plus Akon's 1st week sales and more Chilli headlines

Akon goes number 1 on this week's Hot 100 charts with "I wanna love you," Issue Date: 2006-12-02.
"I Wanna Love you," is also debuts number 1 on Billboard's Hot digital songs chart, selling 146,016 downloads, which fueled its jump from number 17 on the Hot 100 to number 1. The song remains number 1 on Rhythmic radioplay with close to 7000 spins, followed by "Smack That which is number 2. The song continues to grow on Pop and Urban radio stations, currently in the Urban Top 10, and will be in the Top 20 on pop radio within the week.
Akon's "Smack That," held its number 2 position on the Hot 100 this week and is number 3 on the Hot digital songs chart selling 98,862 and bringing its download total to 712,111. The song also remains in the Top 10 in pop radioplay.
Akon's Konvicted LP sold 286,028 copies in its first week and debutes at number 2 on Billboard's Top 200 album chart.
