Akon to be on Tour w/ Gwen Stefani & Don't Matter debuts on the Hot 100

The official Sweet Escape Tour Announcement on Gwen Stefani’s official site, as confirmed that Akon will be on tour with Gwen Stefani

“The Sweet Escape Tour presented by Verizon kicks off this April 22nd at Coors Amphitheatre in San Diego, California, and concludes on June 23rd at Irvine, California’s Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

Joining Gwen on tour is the platinum-selling singer Akon, who also sings on and produced the new single “The Sweet Escape.” Rounding out the bill is British MC Lady Sovereign.

"I'm excited to have this opportunity to tour with Akon and Lady Sovereign, two original artists that I have so much respect for" Gwen said. "I can’t wait to get out there. This show is going to be spectacular!"

Tickets for The Sweet Escape Tour go on sale nationwide Saturday, February 10th. Fans can buy tickets at www.livenation.com, www.ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster retail locations nationwide.

On these week’s charts, Akon's "Konvicted" (SRC/Universal) moves from 2 to 5 with a 6.7% sales decline to 52,000, which is pretty stable.

On Billboard’s Hot 100, “I Wanna Love You” slips down to number 4, and “Smack That”, slips to number 8.

On the good side of things, “Don’t Matter” makes its Hot 100 debut at number 79, and Gwen and Akon’s “The Sweet Escape,” moves up to number 19.
